This would be the most used slow cooker recipe in our house.  It was one of the first recipes I tried when I bought my slow cooker and it has remained a family favourite.

I’m not a big fan of slow cooker recipes that require cooking preparation before-hand, but this is one recipe where you don’t want to skip browning the meat first.  It really does makes a big difference to the flavour of the casserole.

You can substitute plain paprika for the smoked paprika, but I really like the smoky flavour.
